Amidst the nationwide lockdown resulting from COVID-19 pandemic, I was considering freelance career options. That’s when one of my book-club friends suggested I should beta read since I had experience in reviewing books. I researched about it and found out about a group on Goodreads where authors and beta readers connect. I posted about my services on the group and waited. After a few hours author John Hundley emailed me about what became my first ever gig.

The Cargo was a short book and I finished it in one day. The premise was interesting and I left my reactions to the manuscript in the form of comments and also answered the questionnaire John shared with me.
