Being born to Asian parents is in itself a job of great responsibility. Being a South-east Asian myself, I know. This story too promises the drama. I liked that a sport, other than the same old, has been chosen as the premise of this story – Skating. Very interesting.
What saddened me is, there is not much Asian-ness which I had expected. It was too diluted. Both the protagonists are partly Asians so there should have been the essence of their Asian origin in the story. But it felt like a usual American story. The usual quirks were missing.
