When I read The Hate U Give back in 2018, I resonated with Starr and her dream to own a pair of Jordans. When I didn't earn, I used to save money to buy stuff. Be it a new watch, a bookcase or simply a new book. Then now I'm reading Concrete Rose and here too Maverick dreams of Jordans.
High School is not easy. But it is even more difficult of you're tagged as a 'slut'.
If you are looking for a book that’s full of raw emotion and leaves you unsettled, do read this book. Unusual title, unusual stories. Kudos @rossonkeith
A touching, eye-opening, hopeful book.
