HOW LONG CAN YOU KEEP YOUR FAITH IF YOU WERE TRAPPED FOREVER?
Manjiri, a devout atheist, is meeting her friend Manu after 20 years. Their conversation soon turns into an argument over God’s existence, and its nature. What seemed to be a harmless debate becomes Manjiri’s worst nightmare when she is trapped by Manu in a cell. Are Manu’s intentions malign or is this some weird test of faith? Take a seat, buckle your belt, as you set yourself on the world’s most claustrophobic, yet enlightening, journey of Manjiri. Be prepared to see life in a radically different way with this bold, edge of the seat thriller.
Review
This is the first time I’ve tried spiritual as a genre. I always thought the genre is too preachy for my taste but I still gave it a shot.
I am at a loss of words of how to explain what I felt reading this book.
The words connected with me so much that I could feel the cringe, the angst, the desperation of the scenes.
I don’t know whether it redefined my faith but I was somewhat moved.
And the ending was really really unprecedented.
It is a short read, a couple of hours for a reader with moderate speed and an hour tops for a speed reader.
I don’t regret reading this book.
If you’re looking for something new to read, go ahead.
Hi Pia,
Long time, as they say in The Gambia. Hope all is well with you. All ok here apart from a cold virus which is encouraging me to rest. My plan is to try to get some reading done which has been on my ‘to do list’ for a while. I have a few books at the ready. At night I have been reading ‘the alchemist’ by Paulo Coehllo but am finding it a little ‘ploddy’ at present but am sticking with it as it only has a few pages.
This book sounds up my street & will give it a go.
